Green Space Wales event at Beechwood – A Greener Outlook – Preparing for 2017 and beyond
Another great event when Green Space Wales partnered with Fields in Trust to stage a day seminar at the magnificent Beechwood House Newport.
Focusing on the Welsh Government’s Future Generations Act, the Secretary of State for the Environment Lesley Griffiths launched the important new planning guidance from FIT – Beyond the 6 Acre Standard.
A sell out programme drew delegates from both planning and green space management backgrounds.
Photos of speakers include, Leslie Grifiths, Secretary of State for the Environment, Robin Williams MD of Asbri Planning, Neville Rooke from the WLGA, Brynmor Williams of Thomas Carroll and Carla Reynolds from Business Wales.
Letter from the Co-ordinator of the event to Carina Puckett, Beechwood House
I just have say a big thank you for your assistance in the preparations for our recent seminar and for the smooth running of things on the day.
Your staff were really helpful and Andy in particular could not have done more to make the event a success
We have had nothing but positive feedback and the 2 room layout with use of the entrance hall between, provided a great area for the 50 plus delegates, which together with our own staff, the speakers and 4 trade stands made for just the right mix of seating and informal space that is so important.
The next time we are run a similar sized event in the Newport area you can be sure Beechwood House will be our first choice as the venue.
